- 'Little Planets' at The Wardrobe

"Leeds is Little Planets' home. Every person in the band is from different places so the only place that we'll all be together is here, we all moved away from our families. Leeds is so important because it's where Little Planets was born and it's Little Planets' hometown, not mine, Little Planets'"

Ella Baila Sola - Eslabon Armando and Peso Pluma

Corrido/Regional Mexican

Not only is this song both incredibly enticing and insanely catchy, by being the first regional Mexican song in history to reach the top 10 of the US Billboard Hot 100, it has played a huge role in representing Mexican corrido music in main stream media.

20191012 Fooled by Love - Mac DeMarco

Alternative/Indie

In what many of his fans believe to be his last album, Mac DeMarco released 199 songs at once and gave the vast majority mere numerical names. These songs tend to have a bittersweet nature and only a select few tracks have genuine names, such as 'Fooled by Love', which brings that notion of calm characterised by an aching heart typical of DeMarco's music.

Blue Flower -Mazzy Star

Alternative Rock

Released in the early 90s, it could be suggested that 'Blue Flower' is one of the group Mazzy Star's best songs. Despite having regained some popularity due to the trending TikTok sound from 'Fade Into You', this track displays a similar rawness but with perhaps a more upbeat overtone.

The rock and punk band from the 60s The Velvet Underground

Stephanie Says - The Velvet Underground

60s Punk and Alternative Rock

Many claim that The Velvet Underground were ahead of their time, and although initially ignored, their music was undoubtably key to the new wave and punk movements in the following years. The rawness and almost relatability their music has, exemplified in 'Stephanie Says', leaves many new fans shocked to learn it was written almost 60 years ago.
